The Guyer House Variety Show

This poster was created for a concert benefitting a friend that lost his home in the May 20th, 2013 Moore ,Oklahoma tornado. Because the show was in early August, months and dozens of benefit shows away from the tornado, the goal was to create a design that was not dependent on imagary of the family's loss, but that did not ignore it either. I chose to utilize imagery of the victim's home but to abstract it by only showing the silhoutte. We also defined the benefit by branding it for the victim's family. Because of the name, I choose to create a sideshow style font treatment in an attempt to distract from the devistation and reiterate the notion that it would be a good time benefitting a good cause.
