Universal Templates

After creating a new portal for the state, we needed to create an easy way to develop new sites and applications within the same visual language. To do this we developed a universal templating system. By defining a series of variables in the setup of the template system, a single markup template had the ability to adapted to tens of thousands of variants, from color to function to layout. The system was utilized in any application that was developed as well as being integrated into the content management system.
